Starting a new discussion here to help formalize a validator working group.
A validator working group was proposed in the discussion to Reduce Active Validator Set to 21 - the final step of the execution plan.
Support Group Formation: A working group will be formed to assist validators no longer in the active set who wish to continue validating with the support of new delegations.
There have also been some efforts in Discord to form a regular call for validators where validators could discuss topics relevant to validators.

@Validator If you are a validator (active or inactive) and you are interested in discussing topics relevant to validators or if you are looking for support in any way, a regular call was proposed here in Discord that would take place in the governance-discussion channel.
Active validators are not required or expected to attend in any way. It’s probably safe to assume that this will be a small group to start. The favored time for the last call was 1600 UTC on Friday so this will be the regular time unless otherwise announced. If interested but can’t make the time, let us know.
There is also a group on Regen with five members (4 active validators and 1 currently inactive). This group submitted the governance proposal to reduce the active validator set from a group account so that the proposal would not come from any one validator (and to make use of governance tools available on Regen).
Validators that have shown interest or support, or that have attended one of the two calls held so far (bi-weekly calls in Discord), include the following:
