Summary
Dear Regeneratis,
The Evmos community has decided via on-chain governance (proposal #133) to offset the carbon emissions of the Evmos network on Regen for the year 2022. Given Regen’s & Evmos’s long-standing relationship in the Cosmos ecosystem, we would like to discuss adding EVMOS to the Regen Ecocredit Marketplace currency allow list, adding it as one of the many currency options in which buyers/sellers may transact.

Abstract
Regen proposed four major criteria for the analysis of any token applying to the Regen Network community (proposal #13):
- Is the token in question a currency?
Answer: Yes, EVMOS is an EVM-compatible Cosmos native cryptocurrency.
- Is the token in question IBC-compatible?
Answer: Yes, Evmos is IBC-compatible.
- Is the token in question liquid, stable, and safe to use?
Answer: Evmos currently has more liquidity (roughly 1.5M USD) than REGEN (roughly 15k USD). We consider that Evmos is safe to use from a technical perspective, but there is never a 100% guarantee. Evmos is not a stablecoin, meaning it is not pegged to any FIAT currency. Exactly like Regen, Evmos is freely fluctuating against other cryptocurrencies and can be volatile on certain days. The Evmos price has been fluctuating between $0.50 and $0.28 for the past 90 days.
- Does the token support a good onboarding experience for non crypto natives?
Answer: Yes, Evmos has a decent onboarding experience supported by Keplr, MetaMask, and Ledger.
Adding EVMOS to the allowlist will provide additional utility to Regen & bring users over from the Evmos ecosystem.
Target on-chain date: May 5th, 2023
A YES result on proposal will add EVMOS to the allow list, represented by the denom:
