Brainstorm of tokenomics upgrades

It’s clear there are a lot of people who are calling for tokenomic upgrades for the REGEN token. Even many of the core team members have shared that they know it’s time. About five months ago Regen Foundation posted an RFP for a new tokenomics, but it doesn’t seem that has generated much that has moved this ball forward.

So, in an effort to get this conversation started in a simple and straightforward way, I am starting a thread to collect people’s ideas. No ideas are too small or too simple to post in this thread. It may be that we can take these ideas, refine them and weave them into something that gets the REGEN token moving in the positive direction, and with that, providing the financial life-blood of the Regen Network community, funding initiatives, upgrading methodologies, spurring innovation, and ultimately creating great ecological impact.

So, what are your ideas?
What upgrades do we need to the tokenomics, the liquidity, the trade, the branding, the marketing, the community outreach, or anything else that can help get REGEN back on track?

I like thinking about this stuff because the RFP is basically asking the core question that underlies the entire point of ReFi’s existence, but hasn’t been satisfactorily answered yet by any project: How can we use these cutting-edge technologies (blockchain, AI, IoT) to create a decentralized system of economic incentives that aligns the actions of all stakeholders in achieving the protocol’s objectives, and at the scale required to make an impact?

I also think there are more questions to be asked before we can know what Regen’s version of that answer might look like. If I was someone trying to create a proposal, here are some questions I would want to have answered by the team:

  1. To start, what are the specific capabilities of the technology for the problems Regen is trying to solve? I know this is basically answered by the whitepapers, but they also contain lots of other information. I think having a list that describes only the goals of each module, the actions they enable to achieve that goal, and how that fits within the overall function of the protocol would be very helpful.

It would provide a shared reference point we can all look to when discussing a tokenomics proposal or speculating about what effects a particular change might have on the current project. It would be a good learning tool for anyone who wants to get caught up, and helpful for letting more people participate in discussions who may not have read about and committed the project’s entire structure and function to memory. If the intention is to design incentives into the different modules, I think a list (and ideally a visual diagram) keeping track of the different interactions between modules and token flows between stakeholders would also be valuable for avoiding unintended consequences.

  1. What goal(s) should the tokenomics try to optimize for? Is it something like survivability, where the goals might be minimizing the volatility of the token price, maximizing security of the chain, mi

Hey there! Thanks for giving this topic a fresh platform and reintroducing it to the community. For context I just want to link previous discussions regarding a Regen Network tokenomics upgrade.

Hello dear Regen family,

Its my first post here , i guess it’s the time for me to join the conversations ,

I would like to add some points to consider meanwhile thinking of a new tokenomics,
Disclaimer: i’m not experienced and an expert in cryptocurrencies and tokenomics , only joined the space since almost 2y now., i also apoligize for my english , its my third language , i hope not to sound not too awkward:) and also if im in the right place to give my feedback

Cosmos is a young ecosystem , we are still building, the adoption of Cosmos is very weak compared to Ethereum/L2s etc We need some times to build , and also share / spread the goals of Regen / Refi , its very similar to others chains in Cosmos

When it comes to carbon markets, I believe they represent a significant trend for the future. It is only natural that we haven’t yet achieved massive on-chain adoption. The Regen model is impressive in its own right. As pioneers in this space, we must be cautious to ensure sustainability. Refi is still in its early stages, and the rapid pace of development requires careful management to keep on solid footing
As you mentioned in previous discussions, developing methodologies and building projects within the Regen ecosystem takes time and dedication , especially for thoses who also manage a company

We can also benefit from the increasing adoption within the Cosmos community and the growing interest in carbon markets.
With the escalating impact of climate events, the imperative for companies to prioritize carbon neutrality or carbon negativity will gain even greater momentum.

What I can imagine, after some thought, is:

_Reducing the APR _,
to the most sustainable ways possible , the token is the reflexion of the project and our community , if it drops too much , its not good , even if we are very passionated, working on a true beneficial health would be great. I guess its a double edge sword, because when the next adoption wave will come, some of the revenues, sh
