Incentive for farmers and land stewards

The government offers incentives for land stewards in the United States to use better farming habits. What makes Regen a better option for stewards?

Hi @beattiegabriel thanks for your question! My personal opinion is that we should use all the help we can get to shift our land use pattern from destruction to regeneration. So it;s not either/or but AND+AND. Please let the Govt shift public funds away from synthetic fertiliser and export subsidies to soil health and community nutrition. Those are real public goods. But while we’re waiting for the transition to become complete, inclusive, covering all aspects of the complex system we’re inhabiting, why not add the people’s intelligence and agency into the mix?

This is where Regen comes in: local groups can use this platform regardless of central policies, and build on available incentive models, experiment, tinker and build direct relationships. Ultimately land stewards depend on consumers, scientists, conservationists, and the more than human world to be able to farm. Just like those who don;t grow food depend on those who do. So getting in touch with each other directly and co-creating a food system that works for all sounds like the right thing to do. What do you think?
