# Cosmos Zero Leader Board

## \*\*Background: \*\*

- **What is the Cosmos ZERO campaign?**
- The ZERO Carbon Commitment is an [Interchain Foundation](https://interchain.io/) initiative for Cosmos chains to achieve net-zero carbon emissions for their network validator node infrastructure and all levels of their operations.
- This campaign is administered by Regen Network.
- **Where do I find the carbon footprint of my Cosmos ecosystem protocol?**
- Please see the protocol footprint table in Method #3 of the [Cosmos Zero Campaign](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1H-w4dBc1Svcmw_fzEKUFRgK_pga1qsGMHCTsUKUmWEA/edit?usp=sharing).
- \*\*What are the steps for validators and protocols in the Cosmos ecosystem to become carbon neutral? \*\*
- Please see the Protocol Governance Proposal Template section of the [Cosmos Zero Campaign](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1H-w4dBc1Svcmw_fzEKUFRgK_pga1qsGMHCTsUKUmWEA/edit?usp=sharing).
- **What is the role of this Leaderboard?**
- This leaderboard serves as a public record of validators and protocols in the Cosmos ecosystem which have identified their carbon footprint, purchased and retired carbon offsets from Regen Network, and become “carbon neutral.”

An update to this board! With public purchasing options, we are no longer the central gateway for validator offsets and thus are no longer tracking those. Below are some new commitments from the ecosystem to the Cosmos ZERO initiative.
