This is a separate thread on one of the options mentioned in [Regen Network Proof of Authority Consensus RFC](https://commonwealth.im/regen/discussion/23072-regen-network-proof-of-authority-consensus-rfc) to have a more focused conversation. Thanks to [Brian Truax](https://commonwealth.im/profile/id/126492) and the Cosmos Hub teams for providing information. They can also potentially assist with the actual development work of integrating the ICS module for Regen. I’ll try to structure here the info, feel free to add/improve.

**Governance implications:**

- "validators” would become “governators”
- Staking would be done via [ICS Democracy modules](https://cosmos.github.io/interchain-security/features/democracy-modules#staking)
- We’d need to coordinate updates with the Hub validators, difference in process is desrcibed below
  - With ICS: Upgrades are coordinated with the Hub validators in dedicated Discord channels that the Informal and Hypha teams will help you initially set up. After joining ICS, Regen will be responsible for these channels. They are on the same platform and in the same Discord where the Hub, Neutron, and Stride manage validators, so it’s a single source of truth for the Cosmos Hub validator set. This setup ensures that communication is streamlined in a single place for Validator DevOps teams, empowering you to work more efficiently. We are also working on an upgra

Hydro is an LP protocol. Where that liquidity could be supplied in Regen?
